SPECIAL FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER & DECEMBER
MICRODERMABRASION FOR ONLY $20!
It is only for the rest of November and thru December. So take advantage of this special! Also, if you bring a friend in with you within these 2 months you get your next treatment half off! Just call text or email to book your appointment. Thanks! 435-229-1480
MICRODERMABRASION is an dffective treatment for reducing lines, acne and burn scars, and pigment problems. It enhances skin texture, and contracts pores. A series of 6 is recommended, and will show best results. I start with a deep pore cleanse, followed by a mild exfoliator, then perform the microdermabrasion. After I put a cooling, hydrating mask on, and end with a serum and moisturizer suited to your skin.

WAXING DO'S AND DON'TS
Waxing is one of my favorite things to do! For so many people, it is their best option. Laser is too expensive, shaving may hurt and cause a rash, and products like nair just don't do the job.
Here are a few tips on the do's and don't for waxing:
-DO exfoliate the area 12-24 hours BEFORE a wax - (the hair comes out so much easier, and exfoliating the dead skin off helps the wax stick to the hair more than the skin)
-DO have your hair at least 1/4 of an inch, and no more than and 1 inch long - (if it is too short, it will not come out)
-DO if your hair is too long, trim it BEFORE a wax (it will hurt more if you don't)
-DO release your ingrown hairs 3-4 days BEFORE a wax but DO NOT remove them
-DO exfoliate the area starting 48 hours AFTER a wax (it helps keep ingrown hair from forming, or to a minimum)
-DO apply a cool compress AFTER a wax (it helps with swelling and redness)
-DO take some ibuprofen or tylenol an hour before your wax (it will help with pain, and swelling)
-DO NOT take hot baths for the remainder of the day (heat will irritate it more)
-DO NOT go in the sun, or tan for at least 24-48 hours after (you shouldn't anyway)
-DO NOT wear tight clothing after a wax (irritation and rubbing will cause ingrown hairs)
There are also a few contraindications you should know about before getting waxed. *If you are on any acne medications like accutane or retin A or renova, you should stop using them a week prior to getting waxed. If not, your skin will most likely tear.
*If you are on any birth control, antibiotic, or blood thinners, you should not get waxed. These medications make your skin thin, and can tear your skin if you get waxed.
*If you are on your period, or pregnant, waxing is fine, it is just a little more sensitive.
I hope this helped some of you thinking about getting waxed, and didn't know what to expect. If any of you have questions about waxing, or anything else, please ask! And if you do want to make an appointment, just email me, or call me. Thanks!

WHAT ARE YOU USING?
This question is one of the most important questions I ask my clients. I am referring to PRODUCTS. Whatever is going on with your face whether it is acne, dryness, oiliness, or whatever, products are a huge part of that. Home care is vital when it comes to your skin, not only for everyday maintenance, but for your treatments also. If you're thinking about getting any sort of chemical peel, prepping your skin at home is key for an amazing result. It is SO worth the extra money to get good skin care products! Its your face! If you have an esthetician already that you can ask, or you want to ask me a question about products, please do! Or if you have any feedback, I would love to hear from you.

I am starting up a referral program. This is for my existing clientele, and also anyone who would like to be part of it. Tell your friends and family about me, and when they make an appointment or come in they have to mention you were the one who sent them. If I get 3 people that mention your name I will give you $50 towards any treatment you want. Thanks you guys!

SPREAD THE WORD!
I made a blog for my little aesthetic business I have been doing for almost 4 years now. When I graduated from school I took my first job at SERENITY SPA, a little day spa inside a salon. I started my business from scratch, having to pay rent with no clientele. It was a challenge, but I learned so much! I built my clientele for the next couple of years until I had my baby. Now I work from home, and I am wanting to build my clientele up even more! I offer awesome treatments for great prices. I am investing in some wonderful machines and will be offering even more treatments soon. So please tell your friends and family. I hope to see you soon!
